Hi Folks & Welcome!!
There is lots of information to cover in this post but trust me it will be well worth the read, so let's get started!! :-)
Last June / July I was introduced to the company "Simple Stories and fell in love with their line of product. Well at the beginning of January, they announced (on their Facebook page) that they were going to have a Fan Blog Hop! I was lucky enough to be one of the first 7 people to respond! All we needed to do was create a layout using their line of product (which isn't that difficult), and they would get the word out!! Oh and to top it off, they are giving away PRIZES!!! How cool it that! :-)
This is how it works - you have 2 chances to win. The Blog that has the most comments at the end of the day wins a Prize PLUS one of the people that commented on that blog will also win a prize! A second prize will be given to someone who has left a comment on the Simple Stories blog.
Now that you know how it works, let's take a look at my layout! I used their "25 Days of Christmas" collection.
I often find myself not using all those little letters that you find on the sticker page, well as you can see, I finally decided to use them. I wasn't able to say everything that I had wanted to say on the journaling card, so I thought I would make it apart of my "Title"!!
Whenever these guys get together, they don't need Goofy Hats to get them going... no, all I need to do is bring out the camera!!
I tried a couple new things with this layout... all of which can be seen in the photo below:
- I used a product called "Pearl Pen" by Viva. (I used # 401 - Dark Brown) This is a great way to add a bit of dimension to your layout, as you can make the "pearls" what ever size you want! Very cool product that I will be using again soon!
- I finally used a transparency!!! I have talked about using them for some time now & found that the transparencies from Simple Stories are AWESOME!! My main concern about using transparencies has always been... how do I keep them in place without the glue/adhesive showing... Well I no longer have to worry about this when using the transparencies from Simple Stories as they just sticks to the photo - no glue or adhesive needed!! I can turn the page upside down & it doesn't move! :-)
- I have a tendency to use pop dots when adding embellishments or my journaling squares, but for this layout you will notice that I raised the large group photo on the left hand side page...
Thanks again for stopping by & don't forget to Hop on over to the last blog --> Liz Qualman!
Till next time... Happy Hopping.... I mean Scrapping!! :-)
PS - Please don't forget to leave a comment below for your chance to WIN some very cool prizes!! :-)
Just in case you have missed someone's blog, here is the list for you!!

beautiful layout! I never use all those stickers either. :)
Great design on your LO and great job using up all the stickers too.
Great layout. I only own one collection so far, destinations, but I'm looking forward to more kits and making great stuff with it.
Eveline.
First of all, i have to say... i LOVE your blog design!!! Second, LOVE your double page layout (i am a big fan of double pages!) Thank you so much for sharing!!
Lovin' your two-pager! Fun memories, preserved in grand fashion! 25 Days was one of my favorite Christmas collections this year! :) Well done!
I can't finish using all the little stickers either! I believe that's because the papers themselves are more than enough to make the layouts (or projects) amazing! :)
fun page and i really like how you explained everything you did, good tips!
I am a big fan of scrapbooking, but didn't know I could do this online. This maybe my next favorite past time. Thanks for sharing!
Amazing, amazing, amazing. I love your blog and I have shared it with many and they feel the same. Great layout ideas. I haven’t scrapbooked for a while but man do you inspire me. I especially love the mini record photo display...sooo amazing...I will definitely be making those soon...Great Christmas gift idea.
Keep up the good work.

I am not a scrap-booker, rather I stitch and “PASSION” I understand.
I met Michele some 5 years ago and I had an opportunity to see her “Special Room” at home and her accomplishments to date. I was overwhelmed with what I saw and even joined her for an evening class just to get the feel of the craft. I could see myself getting into this craft however I would have to give up my stitching and am not ready to do that. I can state honestly I would go nuts with embellishments.
Michele has shown me so many wonderful pieces of her art and it is just fabulous. From goofy and silly to romantic and pure majestic, I see Michele’s gift flourishing for many years to come. Also – great work on your new Blog – I am amazed... Smiles Sandy B.
Loved this line too!! Wonderful layout to showcase it!
Great two pager. I love to see two page designs and you rocked this one.

Awesome layout! Thank sos much for sharing your work with us!
Great scrapbook page and wonderful documentation of your traditions.
Great layout! I'm glad to hear someone else likes to use pop dots as much as I do on pages. Can't wait to use the Simple Stories transparencies as I have been looking for one that is easy to apply without requiring special adhesive or layering to cover the "glue marks"
Cute 2 pager. Love your main photo matting with the pearls!
Great projects!
Great layout and kudos for trying new things!
Good for you, trying something new. And I like how you used the little letters, I've often had the same issue at times.

Michelle you put your cousin to shame in your zeal for scrapbooking. I love scrapbooking as well but live vicariously thru you as mine has to stay put away from my little "helpers" hands. You have a great eye for this and I love looking thru your blog when I have a chance. (i too have a ton of little stickers leftover from pages.)
Love ya, your younger cousin Christalee :)

Enjoyed hopping to your blog and your project with the Simple Stories Christmas line.
What a fun way to highlight a family tradition. I think they tell your story so much better than a formal portrait does.
What a fun tradition you have. Your layout is wonderful.
Gorgeous LO! We do the party poppers on Christmas, too, and then walk around until our little crowns fall off. The kids will usually trade colors (what 10yo boy wants a magenta crown?) Thanks for sharing and congrats on your guest post! I like what I see! rgauss at sbcglobal dot net.
